Celebrity chef Atul Kochhar's latest venture aims at harmonizing organic British produce with ancient Indian spices, resulting in some innovative cooking. With a soft, creamy interior and windows overlooking the vineyard, soak up the ambience of Vatika before your eyes meet an exciting array of delicately spiced, immaculately presented dishes.

Familiar Indian cuisine with a slight British nod is what makes the menu worth exploring, so you might see tandoori broccoli parcels come with greengage preserve and vanilla beetroot and carpaccio of spiced venison with garlic chutney and sherry vinegar. Amongst main courses there's tandoori tiger tails alongside Goan style turnips, finished with a tamarind glaze while a belly of pork is slowly cooked before accompanying fig chutney and wild boar salami on the plate.

Before you bid adieu try the saffron poached pear with smoked almond cream and biscotti, and the apple pannacotta stack with blackberry jelly and tarragon.
