Venture In Restaurant Description
If you are in to fish here is an answer for you. Every second Wednesday go to the Venture In, a half-timbered building just off the A449, and enjoy their special fish evening, a sure sign of the kitchen's preferences.
This could be red sea-bream with couscous and Thai-style sauce. It's not that other delights are ignored and there are plenty of meat options. Braised pig's cheek with seared foie gras and caramelised apple is but one.
Desserts aim to quench and could be pear Tatin on cocoa sorbet or caramelised pineapple cake with vanilla ice cream.
There is a short wine list with French and Chilean house wines at around £11.00.
No children under 10 years.

This is my favourite restaurant and it has never disappointed. The quality of the food is fabulous, the menu is imaginative with just the right amount of choice. The service is perfect and the members of staff are attentive without being obsequious.

I have eaten there on a few occasions and the food is always fabulous. As I don't eat meat, I can only say the fish dishes are fantastic and the wine list is always interesting and full of quality. You won't be disappointed. Expect to pay £35 for three courses, wine on top. I live in London and have paid over £100 for dishes not a patch on the Venture In. Be grateful you have it.
