Villa Italia Description
Villa Italia has been established in York for some 15 years and since 1999 has been owned by James Lowe. His ownership marked some major changes and the restaurant is now well to the fore, producing authentic and delightful Italian food as well as a reputable deli from which items can be purchased on the spot. On the menu are such dishes as pollo ripiena con Gorgonzola, breast of chicken stuffed with pate and Gorgonzola, and their famed Sardinian fish stew with chunks of salmon, cod, lobster, mussels and clams in a chunky tomato and white wine sauce, served with chilli and garlic toast. This is almost certainly the best value and quality Italian food in York and should not be missed.
