The latest recruit to the much respected Valvona and Crolla stable, Vincaffe makes no pretences about being concerned with anything other than serving the good food and drink for which the name has so far been associated.

The menu is well filled with regional Italian dishes that strike a very harmonious note with customers, amongst which expect to find an antipasto of Italian cured meats, mozzarella di bufala, juicy roasted vegetables and fresh bread.

Downstairs, take refuge from the pressures of the shops that surround the place, and recuperate with espresso and Panini, or take a longer break for something more substantial. Either way you will not be disappointed.

In the summer one may sit outside and watch the fascinating world of Edinburgh pass by, whilst also considering the merits of something from their exceptional wine list, with no less than 48 wines available by the glass. Edinburgh has always been my favourite city, and Vincaffe can only strengthen that commitment.
