The setting of this restaurant makes it a particularly pleasant place to dine al fresco during the warm summer months. The scattering of pavement tables beneath a brightly colour awning give that Greek holiday feel to the place, which we all long to find at home. On the menu you'll find all the classic Greek-Cypriot dishes you would expect including Greek salad, grilled halloumi cheese, kleftiko and various fish and seafood dishes. Whilst perhaps not the best Greek meal you'll ever experience, the Vineyard Taverna does offer well-priced food in very amiable surroundings, making this a fun and affordable place to dine. I went there once as I’m a big fan of Greek cuisine. However I was a bit disappointed. Taramosalata wasn't nice and houmus as well, but the kebabs were nice and must say I enjoyed the main meal more than previous courses. The prices are very good I must say as I did not spend too much. If you live in Camberwell, it’s o.k. You could go and try. Just don’t take taramostalata but if you live somewhere else in SE why not to try Taste Of Cyprus in Beckenham or the real Greek Souvlaki in Central London? Both are very good.
