This charming family run restaurant serving modern British cuisine features a lovely outside courtyard and separate bar and dining. At Vinyard all produce is sourced from the surrounding areas, prepared with great care and served in a cheerful, friendly and unobtrusive manner. Your Reviews of Vinyard Cafe Bar & Bistro

Ian (4 November 2009)

Tucked away in a narrow side street at the back of town - park behind Somerfields-Nisa - word seems to be getting out about Whitby's well-kept secret. It’s clean, fresh, cheery but with character. There are token beers on tap, but the wines makes up for that. One of the few eating places in the area which really understands that food ought to have flavour. Prices not unreasonable and meals are available all day. There’s a pleasantly small yard outside with candles for a warm evening. Sometimes I go to another restaurant for a change. Usually I wish I'd gone back to Vinyard instead.

I have an excellent meal every time. The menu is superb and the wine list is also very good. I can recommend the lomas red wine. I would say this is one of the best restaurants in Whitby by far.
