Waffle House

We discovered the Waffle House accidentally as it is ever so slightly off the beaten track. I am glad we did, because it is the friendliest and tastiest place to eat in the whole of Norwich and could be in the running for best stomach filling emporium in the world.

You enter through the art deco frontage into a friendly, no-nonsense restaurant without a hint of pretence. There is a good selection to eat, on either plain or wholemeal waffles as well as a good children's menu. Waffle servings are divided into savoury and sweet but I assure you it may be the case that you end up having both.

My personal favourite is the ham, mushroom and cheese sauce waffle washed down with a bottle of Nastro.

When you leave, your only complaint will be with yourself not having room for more waffles. Never mind, its great value and the staff are welcoming so return visits are a certainty. Ten out of ten!

The Waffle House is the BEST place in the city for brunch! The wholemeal waffles, smoked salmon, fresh orange, etc are all perfect and fresh and brilliant value at just £8! We've been twice and will keep going back!
