This restaurant opened on a wave of much publicity back in 2000, as everyone wanted to witness the unique dining area at Wapping Food, set in the old Wapping Hydraulic Power Station where relics of the old turbine hall can still be seen. Such an unusual setting still makes it a popular choice for business and romantic rendezvous' where people are going out to impress. The menu is of modern British origin with a balance of interesting and familiar flavours and unpretentious desserts such as good old British trifle. Well where to begin, excellent cocktails served by friendly and informative waiters, try one of the local mixes! Atmosphere is polite, discreet, inspiring, romantic and one of the nicest places I’ve been to in many a year. Particularly the friendly hostess who is a pleasure to talk to; definitely a place to be, to be seen, in a nutshell a gem amongst coal.
