In the unlikely event that you lack an appetite, venture down the stone steps cut into the cliff, letting your imagination run riot as you go, to the sandy strand. If that doesn't do it the return journey will. Fresh local fish features prominently on the menu and include dishes such as winter fish stew with squid, cockles, monkfish and mussels and a duo of salmon and sole with dill mashed potatoes and citrus butter. We stumbled upon the place by chance recently and what a gem we’d found. The food was outstanding, we had the surf and turf for two people, beef fillet and lobsters, what more could you want. We had been struggling to find a decent place to eat in New Quay but not anymore. We would be back.
