Watermark Brasserie & Bar Description

The Watermark Brasserie and Bar enjoys one of those stunning views that are unique to Cornwall, high up on a rugged headland looking across Porth Bay and the Atlantic. In the unlikely event that you lack an appetite, venture down the stone steps cut into the cliff, letting your imagination run riot as you go, to the sandy strand. If that doesn't do it the return journey will.

Fresh local fish features prominently on the menu and include dishes such as winter fish stew with squid, cockles, monkfish and mussels and a duo of salmon and sole with dill mashed potatoes and citrus butter. The views from the dining conservatory are simply breath taking so you can dine in style overlooking the tumbling waves of the Atlantic and the stunning serenity of Porth Bay at dusk.

A well-travelled wine list offers plenty of choice. If you are looking for somewhere to unwind it would have to be somewhere like Watermark.

We stumbled upon the place by chance recently and what a gem we’d found. The food was outstanding, we had the surf and turf for two people, beef fillet and lobsters, what more could you want. We had been struggling to find a decent place to eat in New Quay but not anymore. We would be back.
