Your Reviews of Waterside, The
Spottie (31 May 2009)
We have just returned from a trip to Eastbourne and the best part was definitely the three meals that we ate at The Waterside. The portion sizes are not huge but they are delicious and we were certainly more than full after 2 courses - in fact had to struggle to eat three, but the trio of crème brûlée was to die for. We both agree it’s the best food we've eaten in England or abroad for a very long time. The staff were exceptionally attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food arrived quickly and was hot and tasty. Loved it!
Squiggle Wiggle (23 March 2009)
We reserved a table for our anniversary, after reading reviews were looking forward to an unforgettable meal. It certainly was. It took over an hour for our starters to arrive, when they did they were stone cold and the portions were tiny. I did complain but nobody seemed to be bothered. The main course took almost the same amount of time to arrive and when it did, again it was cold. We decided to cut our losses and leave. It was disappointing to say the least, and not to be revisited.
