Westbridge Public House and Dining Rooms, The
74-76 Battersea Bridge Road, London, SW11 3AG
Just south of Battersea Bridge, The Westbridge is an old-fashioned public house where all are welcome. Their declared aim at The Westbridge has been to create a place where the quality of food, drink and service are what one might expect from a restaurant but with the informality, warmth and pricing of a pub. In warmer times of the year the beautiful trellised terrace at the front of the pub and the enclosed landscape garden to the back both provide the perfect setting to idle away balmy evenings over a pint with friends. For those looking for a little privacy The Westbridge has truly excellent private rooms on the first floor. The Olive Room is ideally suited for large dinners of up to sixty people while The Bridge Bar can accommodate up to one hundred for drinks and dancing.Just south of Battersea Bridge, The Westbridge is an old-fashioned public house where all are welcome. REVIEWS OF Westbridge Public House and Dining Rooms, The
Steven Grey (25 September 2008)
I have been going to the Westbridge for lunch with friends for a number of months now and just can’t get enough of the energetic atmosphere that comes from the staff and customers. There are not enough places like it about anymore. Friday night is manic and may take time to get served at the bar but with it being so popular it's no surprise. The food is of a high standard and always fresh and most of the staff are on the ball and will take time to speak to you and get to know you. Great selection of wine and beers and the bar staff are well clued up on what they have to offer. A close friend had a function in their private rooms a few weeks back and it was a total success, which was down to the staff and the Event Manager Gavin who you can always see on the floor with a smile on his face, if you are lucky to get him to serve you then you are in for a treat. Good luck The Westbridge but I don’t think you will need it.

We were in a large group and had booked two days ahead. We were told we’d have to stick to the set menu. Despite agreeing to that, we discovered on arrival that the restaurant did not have all the ingredients to cook us our set menu and decided to do without some of the key ingredients. So the salmon and pepper turned out to be salmon with some rocket on the plate, minus the toast and pepper. The relish burger too was a disappointment. Their range of beers, however, is good.
