The White House is an immensely popular kosher restaurant serving a combination of European and Middle Eastern food, giving it a very varied menu. Starters are priced at around £2.50 to £4.75 and include the likes of stuffed mushrooms, chicken wings in a garlic sauce and falafel. Main courses include many simple dishes relying on good quality ingredients such as grilled trout, poached salmon steak and meats such as lamb cutlets and t-bone steaks. There are also more intricate dishes such as duck a l'orange and chicken Kiev. Main courses are around £10-£12, whilst a bottle of wine will set you back about £11. Reviewed by Linda Buttle
