Whites Restaurant, owned and managed by chef John Robinson, opened in August 2008 in view of Beverley's ancient North Bar. The restaurant showcases the kitchen's use of seasonal local produce and classical French culinary techniques. The venue offers a unique ambience, created by spotless white walls and dark wood furniture, an experience, which is further enhance by the friendly, non-intrusive service. Marinated brown shrimps, slow cooked duck yolk with tomatoes and pan fried quail followed by venison from Sherburn in Elmet with chestnut croquette, fondant potatoes and chocolate oil make a great meal. Other favourites include pan fried turbot and monkfish 'sous vide'. Desserts choices make an equally good impression with options such as six tastings of apple and roasted bananas with peanut froth and coconut ice cream.
