Located close to Fenchurch Street train station, Willy's does a fine job of the basement wine bar concept. The interior is minimalist with bare brick walls, subdued lighting and dark wood furniture with private booths for more intimate meals. The focus here is on classic British fare using the best ingredients with care and serving some of the best fish and chips in London's Square Mile.

Alongside the aforementioned fish and chips the menu includes hearty dishes such as fish pie made with cod, prawns, salmon and smoked haddock or liver and bacon served with sauté potatoes. The bar menu features plenty of sandwiches including club sandwiches of crispy duck or crayfish and avocado as well as homemade puddings and a selection of tea and coffee. The evening menu is a British take on tapas with a classy assortment of dishes such as cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon, butterfly prawns with sweet chilli dip, plaice goujons with tartare sauce, baby mozzarella and cherry tomato skewers, and lamb koftas with tzatziki.

The wine list at Willy's Wine Bar changes during spring and autumn every year with over 20 of them available by the glass.
