Windyhill Restaurant

4 St James Terrace, Lochwinnoch Road, Kilmacolm, PA13 4HB

Windyhill is a simple elegant venue where guests are made to feel comfortable from the minute they enter its interior which features uniquely arranged tables. The restaurant's style is modern, traditional dishes with a lighter and less rich approach influenced by Scottish ingredients and flavours. Start with hornig of "West Calder haggis" and spring onion fritters with root vegetable puree and mustard sauce and slow cooked pork belly with Stornaway black pudding. For main course you could try free range Cajun chicken breast with char-grilled vegetables and tomato salsa, ragout of "Western Isles salmon", cod, prawn and potato's with herb white wine sauce, and roast rump of lamb with sweet potato champ.

The wines paired with the food consist of some unusual numbers from the New World.

REVIEWS OF Windyhill Restaurant

Pauline Smith (24 October 2011)

My husband and I recently had dinner at the Windyhills Resturant after my mother won a free meal for 2 from a competition in the local paper. The owner was very welcoming, she offered us a choice of drinks (as we did not want the free bottle of wine included in the win), we did not have to pay any supplements for choosing steak , the food was delicious, the staff were lovely , and the whole experience was great. I would highly recommend choosing the Windyhills resturant , and hope to return soon.

Sandy Smith (28 March 2010)

The Windyhill, is one fantastic restaurant and since its opening I have gained a few pounds from the fantastic menu, as I start from the top and work down. I would also like to thank everyone at the Windyhill for the support they are giving my charity, The Bernard Iliff children's dream trips of A lifetime children with cancer campaign.
