Woolpack Inn, The Description

The Woolpack enjoys an excellent reputation over a wide area as a good village pub with above average food. Nor is it only is the standard of preparation which is transparently good. Helpings are generous and served with a cheerful manner that makes for a happy experience. This encourages thoughts of a repeat visit and it is certainly true that there are many occasions when it's a bit of a fight to get in. Well kept traditional ales and a lively wine list all help to make this a thoroughly pleasant place in which to enjoy an informal and relaxed meal.

They have smashing meals and lovely beer. I’m glad to see the traditional English Inn is alive and well. Keep up the good work!

I ate there in July 2008. The food was pricey but of exceptional quality. I did feel a little uncomfortable eating there are it was obviously a pub for local drinkers.
