Named after a spicy seafood sauce used in Chinese cooking, XO is a part of restaurateur Will Ricker's expanding empire spread across London. Inside, the dining area is sleek and stylish and the atmosphere is cool and relaxed, providing a welcoming setting for diners looking for pan-Asian food around Belsize Lane.

The dim sum menu includes cod dumpling with black bean and chilli oil; date and water chestnut gyoza; and baby pork ribs. Alongside tempting maki rolls and classic sashimi, XO also offers a number of house specials including spiced honey roast duck or steamed sea bass with black bean sauce. The menu also offers a range of zesty side dishes, salads and unusual curry dishes such as duck or the intriguing aubergine and lychee.
