Yak Yeti Yak Description

Yak Yeti Yak aspires to transport diners straight to the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal, with its rich culinary history renowned for its variety and delicate flavours. The décor is an eclectic mix of artefacts and paintings, so get cosy on the floor cushions with low level tables or the more conventional seating.

This Good Food Guide entrant specialises in authentic Nepalese cuisine, all freshly prepared and diners can decide the degree of spice they can handle. Steamed and fragrantly spiced pork or vegetable dumplings known as momos, are served with hemp seed chutney and this could be followed by a Kathmandu speciality of fermented bamboo shoots stir-fried with new potatoes and black-eyed peas, complete with vegetable stock.

Finish with a sweetened spiced carrot tartlet, a contemporary take on this classic Nepalese dish, or a tea ice cream. Vegetarians have a reason to rejoice as the menu is very much more than just a couple of dishes thrown around.

Your Reviews of Yak Yeti Yak

Nam (9 December 2008)

There is nothing I can fault with this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing, very nicely flavoured and well presented. Please don’t visit them if you're expecting the normal curry house experience. It is not a place to go to after five pints, as you won’t appreciate all the different flavours. I have been twice, and am looking forward to my next visit. All I would say is don’t’ go for the table next to the kitchen, it is not the best spot in the house.
