Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard Description

Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard is the oldest pub in Woodbridge, and a distinctive 16th century inn serving up excellent ales and traditional English fare. With one of the two remaining steelyards in England - the word is derived from German for a weighbridge, used to ensure that wagon weights of barley and rye did not exceed 3 tonnes - the pub has won the Cask Marque award.
 
The extensive menu of home cooked favourites includes a taste of Anglia in the form of steaks, casseroles, lamb chops, local sausages, fish pie and vegetarian dishes.
