Yen Oriental and Teppanyaki Restaurant

North Rotunda, 28 Tunnel Street, Finnieston, Glasgow, G3 8HL

The historic North Rotunda building, which was once an entrance to the under water tunnel across the Clyde is now home to the chic Yen Oriental and Teppanyaki Restaurant. The interior is modish, pleasant and comfortable and the teppanyaki table provides an escape from the passive dine-in experience of usual restaurants where you are oblivious to the theatricals that occur behind closed kitchen doors. Quality seasonal ingredients from the larder result in some inspirational Cantonese, Japanese and Thai cooking and chicken satay, king prawn tempura and fresh mussels with black bean sauce pave the way for mains such as Thai green duck curry, Szechwan style beef, and the spicy and sour chicken tom yam.

At Yen Oriental and Teppanyaki Restaurant, a variety of noodles to complement the gravy dishes feature on the menu as does a range of sushi.

Banana fritters or an ice cream could be perfect to those for whom no meal is complete without a dessert.

REVIEWS OF Yen Oriental and Teppanyaki Restaurant

Tom Lowe (20 June 2011)

I had a really good time at Yen Restaurant with my family. The food was as delicious as ever and the staff are still as friendly as always. My favourite Asian restaurant in Glasgow.
