Yew Tree, The Description
At first sight you might be forgiven for supposing the homely little inn you suddenly came across was indeed just that. Closer investigation reveals a stylish restaurant where classical French cooking is very much the norm. Pretension is non-existent and close attention is clearly paid to producing food that monitors on the quality of the recognisable rather than the brilliance of the indistinguishable. This does not come cheap but there are some wonderful value set lunches if the Footsie has plumbed new depths.

The Yew Tree is a fantastic gem of a pub, nestled and hidden in the Hampshire countryside. They serve excellent homemade food, wine and local ales.
