Yijo is a Korean restaurant and a very fine one at that, situated in the Finchley area. The interior is clean and simple with the clear intention of keeping the focus on the food. Anyone familiar with Korean food will soon see that the menu is a traditional one with few surprises. However, there is plenty of choice and the portion sizing is generous. Main courses vary widely from around £5-£15, whilst the set meal options give you a good cross section of dishes to try, making this a good choice for first time diners especially. The staff were friendly, the food was fresh and good value. It helps if you know a little about Korean food but all the items I have eaten there are very good, I know as I have been there over a dozen times. I am often in Korea and Yijo is authentic. You can see Chinese/Japanese and Korean families eating there so a good indication of quality and value. I especially like the bibimbap/bibimbob (spelling varies) hot bowl and sanchoo, lettuce with dip. Korean tea is superb and is a great as a post-eating refresher.
