Owned by Victor and Carina Contini, Zanzero is dubbed as the little sister of their much celebrated Italian restaurant Centotre in Edinburgh and aspires to add considerable zing to the proceedings with a wide selection of pizza, pasta and burgers. This diner style place is more relaxed than Centotre and appeals to a broad range of clientele from toddlers and teenagers to those seeking a hearty Scottish breakfast.

The kitchen believes in keeping things simple and allows the fresh ingredients to speak for themselves, be it the whole wheat pennette tossed with pan-fried, corn-fed chicken breast, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spinach, cream and grana padano, Borders lamb steak served medium-rare or a Zanzero meringue with Madagascan vanilla ice cream, raspberry and passion fruit. Children have their own dedicated menu along with a little goody bag full of activities to keep them happy.
