Zanzibar

113 High Street, Edgware, HA8 7DB

Zan Zi Bar offers a tantalising array of North Indian and Punjabi dishes in their smart and pleasant Edgware restaurant which can be found on the bustling High Street. Freshly ground spices, natural tastes and flavours help in keeping the fare as authentic as possible. In fact, the dishes on the menu have a certain robust and earthy element in them, which is usually found in the gloriously rustic verdant villages of Punjab and to experience it at this elegant restaurant is undeniably an attractive contrast of sorts. Amongst the starters, try the achari murg, chicken cooked with piquant Indian pickling spices and then move on to saag gosht, tender pieces of lamb with spinach. Some of the other delectable options could be the prawn curry or rogan josh.

REVIEWS OF Zanzibar

Sam (17 August 2010)

Best Indian food in London, Keep it up!

Honey (30 December 2007)

This is the best Indian restaurant in London, if not the UK. Being an Indian Brit I have been to all the top Indian restaurants in London, this one beats all of them. I am a regular because the food is so good and the service is excellent.

The manager Pramod ensures that his staff are attentive and polite but not overwhelming or intruding. He is friendly and seems always to be around to help. In summary, great food, reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere! What else can one ask for?
