Zari Bar and Restaurant
214 Ifield Drive, Ifield, Crawley, RH11 0DQ
Zari is one of those dining places that is deservedly enjoying the results of more than a decade of consistent hard work. It first opened in 1990 as a takeaway and has since developed into one of West Sussex's largest contemporary Indian restaurants. The recently renovated spaces of Zari are as colourful as the cuisine. When the weather permits, customers can enjoy a sunny lunch outside or spend an evening under the stars. The menu offers regional as well as old favourites from all over India. Zari works with local farmers and growers to source its ingredients. Start with galauti lamb kebab or stir fried crab with coconut. Specials include cardamom masala mutton with papaya, and jungle venison curry.Zari is one of those dining places that is deservedly enjoying the results of more than a decade of consistent hard work. Their own pastry chef makes freshly all the desserts, ice creams and sorbets, and you could try a rare Peshwari naan pudding with caramelised oranges. The wine list has something for everyone at prices that do not ruin your evening.

REVIEWS OF Zari Bar and Restaurant
Crawley Visitor (18 November 2010)
I was taken to Zari by a client and what an amazing place! I don't know Crawley so, wouldn't have known where to go. This place is definitely worth a trip. I loved watching the chefs creating each dish. It gave me and my client something to talk about when the conversation ran out! Fabulous food, great place and reasonable price!
Movieman (5 July 2008)
Well, what a treat! In a not particularly exciting area of Crawley lives an absolute gem of a restaurant - one that you would usually expect to be in the centre of London. It used to be an above Indian restaurant but in the last year or so has surpassed all that and has become, what I would think to be, a four or five star restaurant of any genre. The layout is beautiful and the kitchen is so well run and clean that there are large windows where you can watch the talented staff. The owner and staff are amazingly friendly, nothing is too much but the most important thing is the food, which is so good. You can eat the usual Indian restaurant food but there is so much more including barbeques, Indian tapas bites, and even steaks. There is a really clever kids menu that includes things like naan pizza. As you can tell I can't recommend this place enough as I have had such a great time there on more than one occasion. I'm not affiliated with the place but the members of staff have always been very warm to my wife and me. Go and try it if you like Indian food or just like excellent good quality restaurants that are proud of its food. Well done Zari.
